Final Corridor Enhancement Plan
Yuba-Sutter Transit was awarded a California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant to develop a Corridor Enhancement Plan for Route 1—which is the trunk route that extends from Sam's Club in Yuba City to Yuba College and carries 34 percent of the total local fixed route ridership. The Corridor Enhancement Plan provides analysis and conceptual site designs, explores existing conditions, and estabilshes bus stop parameters, but it is mainly focused on supporting capital improvements to Route 1 five key transit centers and other bus facilities. In addition, a Battery Electric Bus Feasibility analysis was also completed and is included as Chapter 5 of the Plan.
